Party like it's 1990
Ahh you found the wayback machine. Blogger won't let me use dates before 1990, maybe something about blogs not existing back then. So I'm going to use Jan 1, 1990 as an archive for the older and interesting pictures as they digitally surface.
Frank and sons 1973ish

Brandon, Frank and Stefan Murphy (left to right). Ryan also found this gem at the farmhouse. His guess is that this is 1973. Makes sense as Brandon was born Jan 1972 and looks about a year old and it sure looks wintry out the window of the farmhouse. Frank in red slacks... yep must have been the 70's. I think a remember that crazy couch. The farmhouse will always be the place of melting glass to me. I think of it as my first science lesson. Glass isn't solid, it's melting.
I really don't know where Ella gets her crazy hair. :-)
Grandma Helen's french toast is probably my most vivid early childhood memory from the farmhouse. Staying over at the farmhouse in the winter, upstairs in the room to the left of the top of the stairs. Being covered under 3-4 blankets, one of them an electric blanket on high. Still freezing in the room. No wonder I love to sleep in the cold. :-) Coming downstairs in the morning to Grandma Helen's cooking French toast in the electric griddle. Mmmm.
Lincoln logs in the living room, "how to keep an idiot busy for hours (over)", Grandpa Hubert in his spot on the couch listening to the scanner. Comics "hidden" under the cushion of the chair in the living room. Crazy little black poodle (Mandy?), even as a little kids I thought it was an incongruous farm dog. :-)
